Christopher McWilliams, Organist
Christopher McWilliams is the organist at the Princeton United Methodist Church, where he accompanies the youth, elementary and adult Chancel choirs, plays hymns for congregational singing and often performs with other instrumentalists and singers. He recently opened a new studio in the Princeton/Lawrenceville area, where he hopes to seek more piano students. He is also open to commuting to some of his students’ private homes in the surrounding areas such as West Windsor and Montgomery Township. Since last year, he has been employed by the Innovative Piano Company to teach students with special needs.
Mr. McWilliams is also a faculty member of the Westminster Conservatory of Music, where he instructs private lessons in piano. In addition to teaching, he also accompanies Suzuki violin groups at the same venue.
Previously, Mr. McWilliams has taught piano at the Ewing Presbyterian Nursery School and at Inspira Arts in New Brunswick. Through his internships with Lillian Livingston and LuAnn Longenecker, he has experience teaching piano to adult students and to groups of children. Recently, he has taught a theory course to three Suzuki students at the First Dutch Neck Presbyterian Nursery School, and he aspires to continue this practice in the near future.
