With hammers and saws our Appalachia Service Project teams have worked every year, for 40 years, to help make homes warmer, safer, and drier. This year’s 23-person team, led by youth pastor Skitch Matson, will go to Rainelle, West Virginia, ravaged by flash floods last year. Summer Sundays Fun Plays

Summer Sundays Fun Plays

Join the Summer Sundays Fun Plays! Children learn Bible stories by acting them out. Any child in grade 3 and up maycome early (9:30 am) to Room 204 to don a costume and practice reading the scripts of beloved Bible stories.  Younger children may be dropped off in Room 101/102 and will be brought to see the show and dismissed from 204/205. Feed Truck Cafe

Feed Truck Cafe

The Feed Truck Cafe has you covered for your weekends in May. From iced tea and cold brew to hot coffee, tea, and espresso drinks, we make sure that it’s ‘Sunny After Dark.’ On Thursdays and Fridays, the Cafe is open from 7 p.m. to midnight. On Saturdays, 2 p.m. to midnight. Enter from Vandeventer Avenue. All are welcome!

Communiversity

Communiversity

The annual Communiversity festival will be held on Sunday, April 30. Youth will lead the 9:30 a.m. service, under the direction of Skitch Matson, and Tom Shelton will direct musical selections from the Youth Choir.  At 1 p.m. the Communiversity fun begins. The Feed Truck Cafe begins to serve espresso, and ASP bake sale begins. At 2 p.m. enjoy the musical, directed by Tom Shelton. Hear handbells ring in a free concert, How Can I Keep From Singing on Sunday, May 7, at 5 p.m. Hyosang Park will direct the handbell choir and ensembles and, with pianist Julia Hanna, play solo bells. An offering will benefit the Appalachia Service Project mission team.
