Counting our Blessings: Our “Mission Madness” VBS Program, written by Christian education director Cathie Capp, brought vibrant and active life to our church for three exciting evenings! Thirty children, 14 youth, and 15 adults participated in learning how to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world, seeking to follow Jesus’ command to “Feed My Lambs…Tend My Sheep… and Feed My Sheep!”

Together, we ate dinner every evening, read Bible stories, attended class, played games, sang and worshiped through music, and participated in mission projects to help our local community. (Shown here, Annie Pasqua, director of youth ministries, leads the 4th and 5th graders in a lively game).

We collected food and supplies for the Cornerstone Community Kitchen and also decorated and prepared 52 breakfast bags for children to eat here each Wednesday; we prepared 25 welcome kits for women and children who stay at Womanspace, Inc. in Trenton; and we collected many canned food items for the Crisis Ministry of Mercer County while decorating Thanksgiving bags for collection later this fall. It was an incredibly blessed time filled with the Spirit’s presence and we look forward to another Spirit-filled opportunity on September 8, Rally Day.
