Our speaker this month is Rev. David Mulford. His topic is “The Religious Lives of Presidents Matter.” We will learn about the denominational affiliations of our presidents. Rev. Mulford will then discuss the role religion has played in both the personal and political lives of several of our presidents. You will find that on a number of occasions the religious beliefs of a president have had a profound impact on our nation’s history.

Rev. David E. Mulford is a retired Presbyterian minister with degrees from Colgate University, Princeton Theological Seminary and Drew University. He has served as pastor of churches in New York, New Jersey and Florida. He continues a life-long study of the American Presidency. He has spoken to civic clubs, retirement communities, college classes and has taught courses at adult education programs and Elderhostels.

Rev. Mulford has spoken locally at the Nassau Club, Women’s College Club, Nassau Presbyterian Church, Windrows and Stonebridge. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Montgomery Township.

We will enjoy a time of fellowship and lunch following the presentation. Please bring a sandwich for yourself. Beverages and dessert will be provided.
