Our speaker for the October Men’s Group Breakfast will be Lieutenant Commander Daniel L. Curtis, US Navy Chaplain. Dan is the son of PUMC members Helen and Larry Curtis. After receiving his Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1990 he began serving in civilian ministry for 17 years. In 2007 he transitioned to naval service and was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the US Navy in May of 2007. Dan’s deployments have included support the Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan, in Japan, and deployments at sea. He has received multiple awards for his service. Dan is married and has four children. He will speak to us about what he does as a Navy Chaplain, where and with whom he is in ministry, how it connects with the broader mission of the Church. He will leave space for questions and answers.
