Cornerstone Community Kitchen
The Cornerstone Community Kitchen (CCK) offers a free and nutritious meal every week, even on holidays. Volunteers from the community serve the meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. In partnership with the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK), this ministry of PUMC now serves more than 100 people each week. Some come for the food, some for the fellowship and friendly atmosphere. All are welcome, no questions asked.
If you are interested in performing community service with the Cornerstone Community Kitchen, here are some volunteer and donor opportunities we have on an occasional or regular basis: Signup to volunteer for meal service or signup to volunteer for meal prep.
Meal Prep: Wednesday during the day or on Tuesday evenings, work as a part of a team to prepare fruit, salads, vegetables and sandwiches for guests at the evening meal.
Fruit/Veggie/Egg salad Food Donor: If you would like to provide the ingredients for fruit salad or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, please email firstname.lastname@example.org . We can also accept monetary donations to purchase these items for the kitchen. If you would like to make a monetary donation, simply write a check to Princeton Cornerstone Community Kitchen and mail to 7 Vandeventer Avenue Princeton, NJ 08542.
