In the middle of October, we shift from the Wilderness Wanderings to discover how God is making all things new – even while we are still in the wilderness. And while this may sound out of sync, we’re going to CELEBRATE! As followers of Christ, celebration isn’t something we do just when things are good and perfect. It doesn’t ignore the hard stuff or pretend there’s nothing broken. Yet, celebration is a practice of hope and trust in God’s promises. Celebration is noticing God’s abiding presence and noticing how God cares for us, even in the smallest ways. Celebration is a healing practice that can guide our way even in the wildest of wildernesses. Celebration is joyfully responding to God’s love.
