In the weeks leading up to Easter, our Lenten journey is a time of prayer, reflection and spiritual preparation. Water themes in scripture will be the focus of our midweek worship services. Planned to fit into a lunch hour, the Lenten series of Tuesday noontime meditations begins on February 19 in the chapel space. They will be led by Jana Purkis-Brash, Catherine Williams, Ken Morrison, Scott Langdon, Cathie Capp, and Trey Gillette. A light lunch is served each week. All are invited to enter by the door that opens onto Nassau Street.
“This year we will focus on the theme, Wading in the Water, as we reflectively approach the Easter season, which is traditionally a time of baptism and initiation into the Christian faith,” says Purkis-Brash, senior pastor. “Presenters will lead creative reflections based on water themes throughout the Scriptures, even sometimes helping us reflect on environmental issues.”
