Ever since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Princeton UMC’s top priority has been the health and safety of our entire community: congregation members and staff, visitors, and guests. As safety measures and increased vaccinations continue to bring tremendous progress in the fight against COVID, we are excited to share re-opening plans for in-person worship this fall.

Mark your calendars for Fall Kick-Off!

Our official public Grand Re-Opening for in-person worship is Fall Kick-Off Sunday, September 12. We hope you will make plans to join us for what will be a heartfelt day full of worship, fellowship, and joy!

More details about Fall Kick-Off plans will be shared in the coming weeks and months.

Help Us Prepare for In-Person Worship

Prior to Fall Kick-Off, we are soft-launching in-person worship beginning on Sunday, July 4, and lasting until Fall Kick-Off Sunday. These services will be available in-person and open to a limited number of people who sign up. The complete soft-opening schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, July 4
  • Sunday, July 11
  • Sunday, July 18
  • Sunday, July 25

  • Sunday, August 1
  • Sunday, August 8
  • Sunday, August 15
  • Sunday, August 22

These ten weeks will allow us to practice the ways we gather for worship in-person, our safety protocols, staff and lay leader roles, and the integration of new technology for a more accessible and engaging hybrid worship service. By joining us for worship during these weeks you will be helping us make sure everything is ready for a smooth and successful grand re-opening on Fall Kick-Off Sunday.

To sign up for in-person worship through these soft-opening Sundays, please look for the links to the online sign-up forms in the Weekly Happenings email. The Weekly Happenings emails are sent out to our mailing list at 10 am each Wednesday morning. If you have any questions about the registration process or would like to sign up by phone, please call our church office at (609) 924-2613.

Following guidance and best practices from the CDC and peer churches, face masks and social distancing will be required in all areas of the church, including in the Sanctuary for worship. We ask you to honor our safety protocols and any instructions from Princeton UMC Clergy, Staff, and Ushers while at Princeton UMC. Our church family includes many individuals currently ineligible for vaccination, including children of all ages via our Compassion Camp, Nursery, and Children’s Choir programs. We are also a gathering place for older adults and other vulnerable populations.

And for those who aren’t quite ready to join us in-person yet, or simply can’t, we invite you to continue worshipping with us online each Sunday at 10:00 am.
