Fire & Flavor

There is a Holy Spirit flame within each of us, eager to shine through our particular “flavor” to illuminate the world around us. We are created to shine God’s light in the world, and when we discover the unique ways that light shines through us (individually and collectively) the flame, everyone is more alive, more whole, and close to the kingdom of God. We (already are) salt and light.

Confident in my Calling

Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit finds himself uniquely passionate about teaching others about Jesus. Though religious rulers were unhappy with Peter’s gifts, Peter remained passionate and bold in his calling because he had been changed by his relationship with Christ. We, too, can be emboldened and confident to grow into our spiritual gifts that allow us to grow into the person Jesus is calling us to be.

Pricilla and Aquila, other friends of Paul, open their home to Apollos to teach him about baptism of the Spirit so he could teach others about Jesus.
Like Lydia, Pricilla, and Aquila, we are called to generously respond to God’s love by using our resources to love and serve our communities so they can love and serve others.
