In the past, Princeton UMC has based its Lenten series around themes in a particular text; last year’s guiding work was Trevor Hudson’s A Mile in My Shoes.  This year, however, “We will use the Lenten Devotional created by multiple staff members as the guide for our Tuesday services,” announced Pastor Skitch. The theme of the series is “Broken Things” and it will be live streamed each Tuesday at 12pm on Facebook and the church website.

Over the six weeks of Lent, series leaders will create the full liturgy for their service, as well as select the music. To weave together the series, Hyosang Park, Music Director, has chosen the hymn “God is Here Today” to play during each service.

After each 30-minute service, there will be a Zoom Lunch focused on the discussion questions from the Broken Things Daily Lenten Practices cards found in your Lenten mailing.  Each discussion session will provide time for reflection on our brokenness and our beauty as God’s people.
