Quote of the Week - May 8

On Mother's Day, May 8, 2022, PUMC Children's Choir presented the musical "It's Okay to Be Different," composed by Gene Grier, Lowell Everson, and Natalie Sleeth. The cast included lions, lambs, and a music director. The choir also sang "All things Bright and Beautiful, and "Kum Ba Ya." Oh, the lessons we can learn from children! They teach us how to accept and get along with others. What an appropriate gift for Mother's Day!

Dare we dream of an earthly paradise where all animals can live together in harmony and alongside humans? "They will not hurt or destroy on my holy mountain," said the Lord, as reflected in the Scripture Isaiah 11:1-2, 5-9.

We thank our PUMC Director of Music for Children and Youth Tom Shelton, Piano Accompanist Julia Hanna, and Director of Children's Ministry Evangeline Burgers, for this stunning performance. Watch our worship service and the Children's Choir musical performance here.
